What is ARK: Survival Ascended like?

Your tribe tames dinosaurs and uses them to defend the base you build together from the wild or other players.

The host starts a non-dedicated session, and up to eight of you can join while the host is playing, as long as you stay fairly close to their character. Everyone starts with nothing and gathers wood and thatch by hand until you can put up a shared shelter and place beds to respawn in. To tame a dinosaur you knock it out with a club or tranq arrows and feed it while it's unconscious, and from then on it belongs to your tribe. If some of you are on PC and others on console, crossplay needs a dedicated or rented server.
