What is Civilization VI like?

Each player leads a civilization from ancient times to the space age in turns, founding cities and researching technology. You win through science, culture, religion or conquest, and cities spread across several tiles as districts.

The host sets up the lobby, picking the map and the game speed, and empty seats can go to AI leaders. A turn timer keeps anyone from taking too long, and during peace everyone moves at the same time. A full game takes many hours, so groups usually save and continue on another night, or use Play By Cloud, where each person takes a turn whenever the game notifies them. On one computer, hotseat passes the turn from player to player.
