What is Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition like?

Up to eight of you play in teams or against the AI, building colonies and calling in shipments from home.

In a skirmish, up to eight of you split into teams on one map, against each other or against the AI, and before the match each player picks a civilization and a deck of Home City cards. Building and fighting earns you experience, and every time the bar fills you send for one card from that deck, which brings troops or resources over from your Home City. Two players can also host the co-op Historical Battles, where the AI fights both of you at once, and six of them come with the base game.
