What is Pikmin 4 like?

Player two aims and throws items to help out; you can also compete in Dandori Battle.

Player one controls the rescue officer and Oatchi, the space dog, and spends each 15-minute day sending Pikmin to fight enemies and carry treasure back to the Onion. The second player joins from the pause menu but never walks the map: they aim a reticle and throw pebbles that damage enemies and speed up whatever the Pikmin are carrying. Those hits fill a meter that hands them items such as bomb rocks to throw. Dandori Battle, on the title screen, has the two of you compete for points.

Families with a young kid or someone who barely plays, since player two only aims and throws while the other handles the Pikmin, all on one Switch.
